How you end your post depends on what you’re trying to achieve and what action you want the reader to take. When it comes to prompting reader interaction, how you wrap up your blog posts or articles may make all the difference between a handful of comments and an explosion of discussion.

Just about every personality typing system—from Hippocrates’ humors to Myers-Briggs/Keirsey or DISK—groups personalities into four primary temperaments. Only the labels differ:

  • sanguine, choleric, phlegmatic, melancholic
  • spontaneous, methodical, competitive, humanistic
  • artisan, guardian, rational, idealist
