Copyblogger is 5 Years Old!

image of 5-year-old

Yep, it’s time to put on the big boy pants … Copyblogger is five years old today.

A lot has happened in those quick five years, but as with any 5-year-old, we’re just getting started.

Most of all, we want to thank each and every one of you for “raising” us to this point — it truly could not have happened without you. So thanks for that, and also for sticking with us for the cool stuff we’ve got for you as we head toward age six.

We’re also really sorry for scribbling on the wall with that black Sharpie. Whoops.

I celebrate you on this momentous 5th anniversary milestone! Huge thanks for all the awesome expertise you share so selflessly. May all of your tomorrows continue to brim with the priceless trademark intellectual brilliance you radiate.

Copy That Over. HAPPY Birthday you little 5 year old.
Child Genius, I agree whole kindheartedly.
Love reading your blog, love learning from ‘Idiot Savant of Copy’ :)

Your podcasts are the best part of your program because you can only write so much in every article and the podcasts allow you to dive into greater detail. What’s more, you don’t have the opportunity to sit for a half hour proof reading your audio like you do your posts, so we get to see the real you in action.

Thanks for helping us all out! My site went from 2,000 followers to 9,600 thanks to your work on how to get your feed seen better.

    Happy Birthday CB –

And the post that started it all was called “Sold”. In fact, it talks about how people go online for information seeking out solutions. And blogs are such a great way to build authority and trust so when you do “buy”, you don’t feel that certain discomfort that comes from being sold….

That post, 5 years later is still true and it’s not only true it’s been proven over and over. And as Zig Ziglar once said,

“Every sale has five basic obstacles: no need, no money, no hurry, no desire, no trust.”

Enough said. Copyblogger was born and what a great place to be then and in the foreseeable future.

    Happy Birthday CopyBlogger!

Where did you get that boy’s pic? 😆

CopyBlogger has significantly improved over time (especially after leaving Thesis 😐 ). I wish to see how it looked like when it started its journey, though.

Ever thought about making a book/ebook out of some of the better posts?

Five years of this is a lot for someone to go through. A book would help new readers get more out of CB.

If there ever was a stellar model of providing great value, ideas, and guidance and then letting the money follow naturally with gratitude, Copyblogger and its principals are it!

Happy Birthday! I just stated following this blog about 2 weeks ago, so I’m a little “late to the party”. However, I’ve learned a TON already, and I’m looking forward to what you have in store for year 6 …

Kudos and congratulations! Copyblogger is the best site covering online writing, website design, list management, and related issues. If I had to choose only one site for advice and ideas about how to create and manage great websites and blogs from concept to content and beyond, Copyblogger would be it. Here’s to another 5, 10, 15, 20.

Feliz bloggy posts! What a wonderful age – old enough to know the date and how to tie your shoes, but still too young to dreamless and stuck in your ways.
    Cake, thanks.

    Happy Birthday Copyblogger!

There is no other site more formative to my toddler years online.

Brian — Copyblogger has been my go to resource for most of the last 5 years. You (and the team) completely redefined the way I view writing/blogging online. Thank you for everything; I can’t wait to see what the next five years bring!

In Quebec, we’d buy you large beers and make you chug it all in one swallow, then clap you on the back and huzzah while watching you try not to throw up.

Lacking beer, I’ll offer the back-clapping and cheers. A very happy birthday to you.

  28. says

    Many Happy Returns!

Yep, it’s been quite a ride. Thanks for being a blog that makes a difference. (And I hope it’s not getting too hard to blow out all those candles. 😉 )
