Affiliate Project X Review

Affiliate Project X review by associate editor Jon Morrow.
Okay, I’m about to reveal how big of a nerd I am.
Remember in The Matrix when Trinity needs to fly a helicopter, so she has Tank “upload” the program to her brain? She’s immediately a master pilot and helps Neo save the day.
Well, imagine if something like that really existed.
You could go up to all of the heroes and just “download” everything they know about the subject. If you wanted to become a master Internet Marketer, you could just go up to guys like John Reese, Frank Kern, and Jeff Walker and pay them for a download.
I can’t imagine how much they would charge, but it would still be awesome. You could know everything about making money online within like 10 minutes.
Too bad something like that doesn’t exist, huh? Or does it?
Probably the closest type of product to a “brain download” is a “brain dump.” This is where a guru produces an audio program or e-book where they literally tell you everything they know about a subject.
You still have to read and study, but if you’re willing to spend the time sifting through it, you can pick out little nuggets of wisdom that no one talks about anywhere else. It’s a fantastic way to get the advanced, theoretical material that gurus withhold from the masses.
Well, that’s exactly what Affiliate Project X is for the affiliate marketing industry. It’s a brain dump by one of the most respected affiliate marketers on the Internet who calls himself Chris X.
Yes, I know the whole “X” thing is a little amateurish, but this isn’t your normal over-hyped, highly polished Internet marketing product that the big guys produce. It’s more of an underground favorite, written by a guy that probably sat down at his computer one weekend and typed the whole thing up.
And you know what? The information is solid gold.
Affiliate Project X Is an Advanced Product
Affiliate Project X is an encyclopedia of business models for people that want to become full-time affiliate marketers. Here’s a snapshot of the different models:
- The leech – write reviews of different products, add on a valuable bonus, and then advertise on Adwords
- The affiliate diary – target a niche and build an opt in list of desperate buyers, eventually promoting a series of products with autoresponders
- The workhorse – write reviews of different products, optimize them for Google, and collect commissions from residual traffic
- The thief in the night – spy on your competitors and then outdo them
- Copy the best – a variation of the thief in the night, where you copy their PPC ads
- The opportunist – promote products only at times when people are predisposed to buy
Chris spends 5-10 pages on each, going through the steps you need to take to make the strategy work. Affiliate Project X also includes a section on advanced techniques that augment each of the above business models, including:
- Link cloaking
- Tracking affiliate sales
- Copywriting tips
- Adwords editors
- Underrated affiliate marketing techniques
By the time you’re finished, you’ll have a pretty good idea of how super affiliates pull in those six-figure incomes. You’ll also be able to choose which business model suits you best for the time being, and you’ll have the information you need to get started right away.
The Problem with Affiliate Project X
It’s short.
At only 71 pages, Affiliate Project X is one of the shortest Internet marketing products I’ve reviewed. Most have manuals that are over a thousand pages long, making you feel like you’re really getting something for your money. The first time I saw the page count for Affiliate Project X, I thought I was getting cheated.
But I wasn’t. As I started reading through it, I realized that the page count is deceptive.
You see, lots of those huge manuals for Internet marketing products are filled with fluff — screenshots, PowerPoint slides, transcripts, and text printed in large font. They try to make it look big and valuable, but if you were to extract only the usable information, it would be much shorter.
Chris takes the opposite approach. Instead of wasting your time with useless fluff, he tells you what you need to know and leaves pretty much everything else out. That means no screenshots, no videos, no “hold you by the hand” examples. It’s a 71 page block of text, almost like someone downloaded it from his brain.
Most importantly, it’s information you’ve probably never seen anywhere else. If you’ve bought several affiliate marketing products, only to realize you’ve heard it all before, then this is the product you want. You’re almost certain to pick up a few new ideas from it, or at least a way of organizing disjointed tactics into a coherent business strategy.
Catch Affiliate Project X at a Big Discount
So how much does Affiliate Project X cost?
Well, at first, Chris was selling it for practically nothing, thinking that a few forum junkies might buy it to see how the “master” did it. But that’s not how it worked. Within a few months, the entire affiliate marketing community was buzzing about it. He’d created an accidental idea virus.
He started selling hundreds of copies, so he decided to raise the price. I’m not sure how high it’s gone, but I think it was $197 at one point. That might seem like a lot to pay for a 71 page e-book, but if you’re actually getting useful, unique information, it’s still a pretty good deal.
The good news? Chris is running a special discount, where you can buy Affiliate Project X for only $97.
The word on the forums is, after this promotion, he’s raising the price to $297. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but even if he raises the price back to $197, you would be paying twice as much. Why not take advantage of the current price while you can?
