Yes, it is so easy to arrive at an article site, decide on a category, start to write, realise you have forgotten to write a title, realise you don’t know what you are going to write about…!

I tend to put afew minutes offline into writing a quick synopsis, choosing a target audience, defining why I will write the article, to help whom, about what, and a conclusion.

Then I will spend a little more time creating a title that sums all this up neatly and creates curiosity.

I start with How To, Begin, Start, Why You, Is, Can You, Did you know, and create a title beginning with one of these dynamic introductory phrases! Even your title sells your work – it must persuade people to read further.

The best article titles really grab attention, pose a question, and prompt the curious to read further!

The title of your article is like the window of your corner shop – does it entice a passerby to enter in?

fantastic article! when i was a teacher i had the hardest time convincing the students that their titles were important.

now that i’ve moved into the digital world, i’ve had the hardest time getting the writers i work with that their titles are important…but they are!

these are great tips and i’ll make sure to pass this along to everyone i know!
