I really enjoyed your article on social proof. This is also why so many ecommerce sites have feedback sections. People are so much more likely to buy something when they see other people have done so. I think the phenomenon of the importance of social proof explains the enormous success of Amazon.com. To rephrase the old saying, people really do put their money where OTHER people's mouths are!

I was dead set against the whole FB, Twit and GPlus stuff until I became an Internet marketer. I realize now, that social proof is important and necessary, even to the point of buying traffic. It's no different than buying advertising as a way to influence the "bandwagon" effect.

But the point of negative social proof... I hadn't thought about that at all. Thanks for the heads-up!

[...] Also, I’m having trouble getting a button on here (me and coding need to learn a thing or two about each other), but if you guys use Facebook I would love it if you Liked Needles&Bread there. Then we can hang out in the social media world. And we can share the love: let me know if you have a Facebook page and I will definitely check it out. Social media is hard and if you’re starting out like I am, we can definitely help each other build some social proof. [...]

Definitely true. Hmmm.... social media marketing = take over the world in my niche. That sounds like a plan.
