  1. I absolutely agree with lesson#1 and feel it is the best way to learn as well. Sometimes we can get caught up trying to be too perfect and have every detail perfect when we just need to get out there and get started. Love it!

    • I’m a fan of the old military adage, “No battle plan survives contact with the enemy.”

      And also of Dwight D. Eisenhower’s, “The plan is nothing. Planning is everything.”

      Preparation is terrific, and it’s important, but it’s when you implement that you really learn the lessons preparation needed to teach you. 🙂

  2. I love #4. It is hard to face our weaknesses and then release them to others, but financially is so worth it in the end. I had a tough time learning this for myself, but am getting better at it now that I see the value in it. Thanks for sharing!

  4. I totally agree with all of your points. Over the years I have focused on things I wasn’t good at to my downfall. As I get more experienced I find myself cutting out everything but the things I’m an expert at. In the past whenever I would try to do jobs for clients that wasn’t my specialty, it always cost me time and money. Great blog!

  6. You have some great points. I think that number 3 is extremely important for a small startup business as you can tend to focus on the small items and not keep on looking for the big picture.

    I also think that it is important for everyone to think like a marketer. The business is about building a brand and recruiting customers.
